Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
If you are struggling with feelings of stress, anxiety or depression you have probably been trying to learn about how to get the help you need to feel better. You may have heard the term cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and wonder what this treatment is all about. CBT is a type of therapy that has been well-studied and has strong scientific support for many concerns that people commonly face. As psychologists specializing in CBT we work closely with you to create goals that lead to lasting changes. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on the relationship between a person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors. In treatment, you learn new ways of looking at problems, more effective skills to apply in life and relationships, and ways to better cope with stress. As with any therapy, having a safe and supportive relationship with your therapist is key to making positive changes.
